Dr. Sheu-usman Oladipo Akanbi has over 25 years’ experience built in variety of roles and organizations, mostly in the development projects and banking.
He is currently a lecturer and researcher with the department of Agricultural Economics, and as well, an associate staff of the Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
He was a project Coordinator of the World bank/African assisted Fadama Development Agriculture project in Kwara State. He began his career as a supervisor with First Bank of Nigeria, Ilorin branch in 1995 and was later redeployed to Agricultural Finance Dept., as a Relationship Manager covering Kwara, Niger and FCT Abuja.
He later joined the National Maritime Authority (NMA) in 2002 as a Senior Commercial Officer, Apapa, Lagos branch. He worked with The Africa Development Bank/World Bank Assisted Kwara state FADAMA development Project in 2005 as the State Project Coordinator (SPC). He also served as the Adjunct Research Assistant, in the Department of Management Science/Centre for entrepreneurship, Kwara state University, Molete, Kwara state.
In 2014, he joined the University of Ilorin as Associate lecturer, Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from University of Ilorin. He also holds Masters and Phd in Agricultural Economics Degree both from the University of Ilorin. He is an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management.
